The rate of innovation in IT industry is amazing. I just restarted on posting blogs. And sure enough there were comments!! But all of the comments were redirection to some other sites. These were spams comments. They would one to some antivirus site or sex site.
My site is not indexed till this time. So, it got me wondering how are these guys doing it. Do they have somebody just sitting there and putting in these comments for bombing site indexing. Or do they have some program which will select any random new post and put in the rogue comment.
I searched for the solution to this. If Google & Yahoo are doing anything on this side. Unfortunately, I could not find anything. Possible solution could be:
- Blacklisting rogue commentors!! (Negative side is that "distributed denial of commenting" attacks are possible)
- DNC ("Do Not Comment") registry for rogue commentors. (Negative side is that "distributed denial of commenting" attacks are possible)
- Automated spam comment detectors algorithms. These algorithms would need to identify that the comment had no relation whatsoever to the post and it is redirecting.
I am sure, there are other solutions to the above problem.
